Dr Michelle Cooper
General Surgeon | Specialist in Colorectal & Endocrine Surgery
Dr Michelle Cooper is an experienced and compassionate general surgeon with a special interest in colorectal and endocrine surgery, as well as expertise in minimally invasive (laparoscopic) procedures. She provides high-quality, patient-centred care across a broad range of general surgical conditions, including both elective and emergency cases.
Education & Training
Michelle graduated with Honours from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). She then undertook specialist surgical training in Queensland through the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS), where she earned her Fellowship (FRACS) in General Surgery.
Following this, Michelle completed a subspecialty fellowship in colorectal surgery, further refining her skills in managing diseases of the bowel and anorectal region.

Michelle is passionate about advancing surgical care through ongoing education and research. She has authored and presented research at international conferences and in peer-reviewed journals.
She completed a Master’s degree at Griffith University, focusing on regional block anaesthesia in minimally invasive surgery – highlighting her dedication to improving patient comfort and outcomes.
